Following hot on the heels of recent hits from Hi_Tack (?Say, Say, Say?) and FilterFunk (?S.O.S. Message In A Bottle?), Gusto are set to release what is shaping up to be their biggest release to date ? the shimmering disco strut of ?Love Sensation 06? by the legendary Loleatta Holloway.

Originally released in 1980, vocals don?t come much bigger than the mellifluous might of ?Love Sensation? and, while there may be another version of the track doing the rounds, this is the only one to feature the original vocal. Plus it?s got the nod of approval from the original SalSoul diva herself.

The soaring vocals are perfectly complimented by those omnipresent Hi_Tack boys, who handle production duties on the radio edit. Maintaining the disco spirit of the original, they crank up the energy and inject the track with their trademark rump-shaking funk.

Dead Stereo lace the vocal with Balearic guitars and a bubbling bassline, to create a more laidback but equally uplifting
interpretation, while the 7th Heaven Club Mix takes things back to the late seventies, with the sort of looping pianos and epic strings that disco dreams are made.

Sampled by everyone from Blackbox (?Ride On Time?) to Marky Mark & the Funky Bunch (?Good Vibration?), Loleatta is truly a legend. Born in Chicago in 1946, she began her singing life alongside her mother, in the Holloway Community Singers gospel group. Throughout her illustrious career Holloway has been responsible for some seminal disco moments,
including ?Hit and Run?, ?All About the Papers? and ?That’s What You Said?, as well as contributing vocals to the massive ?Relight My Fire? by Dan Hartman and the Salsoul Orchestra’s 1982 hit ?Seconds?.
