Wildchild Outside- Update
May 10, 2007
The hype around the massive WiLDCHiLD OUTSiDE London festival continues to grow! The line-up at Shoreditch Park on Saturday June 30th is practically bulging at the seams, with tickets sales reaching unprecedented levels as we go to press.
Each week we bring you news about each of the huge arenas showcasing the very best of UK and international dance acts. Today it’s the turn of one of the biggest brands in the world – Ministry of Sound.
The phrase ‘tour de force’ doesn’t even come close when it comes to Ministry. Their club is iconic. Their line-ups are among the best in the world. Every clubber worth their salt will, at one time or another, walk through their hallowed doors.
Now they’ve put their weight behind WiLDCHiLD OUTSiDE and the acts they’re bringing with them can only be described as phat! Yes that’s phat with a P and an H boys and girls. Cop a load of this lot clubland…
They’re the duo behind smash hit ‘Love Story’, are responsible for some of the best nights in the capital and are an institution in their own right. Layo & Bushwacka! headline the Ministry of Sound arena to the delight of everyone involved. Expect only the finest house sounds from an act known throughout the world for their perfect symbiosis within the mix.
Joining them on stage is an Ivor Award-winning trio who need no introduction apart from one word – ‘Lazy’. Rocky, Diesel and Ashley Beedle, more commonly known as X-Press 2 held the charts to ransom back in 2002 and have been seen as godfathers of the scene ever since (or possible earlier if you know your stuff!). Well prepare to show your respect when they appear in front of thousands for what will be a blow-away performance!
Keeping on the theme of ‘Who’s Who’ behind your favourite tunes, Sandy Rivera, one former half of Kings of Tomorrow and the man behind ‘Finally’ is also added to the roster. Then throw into the equation DJing sensations like Smokin’ Jo, Seamus Haji, Marc Hughes and Richard Dinsdale and you start to see why the entire country, not just London, is starting to get hot under the collar about WiLDCHiLD OUTSiDE!
Speaking about their involvement with the festival, Andy Blackett at Ministry said, “We’re really looking forward to getting our artists on the stage and being part of one of the most spectacular festivals in London this year.
“We’ve pulled together one of the best line-ups you could wish for at any event: Layo & Bushwacka!, X-Press 2, Sandy Rivera, Smokin’ Jo – you don’t get any better than that! Plus when you think about all the other stages and arenas that are going to be there on the day too, you’ve got yourselves one hell of a show. We’re absolutely thrilled to be part of the whole thing and of course don’t forget that one of the two after parties will be down here at Ministry of Sound on the night!”
