Wild - Renaissance 15th Anniversary
April 04, 2007
Renaissance celebrate their 15th Anniversary with an original boutique festival – Wild in the Country. Set against the backdrop of Hertfordshire’s Knebworth House. Three main areas will host some of the biggest names in electronic music, who are all ready to say a big ‘happy birthday’ to Renaissance by spinning their finest tunes creating their very own bespoke summer experience.
Launched in 1992 as a weekly club night in the Midlands, Renaissance has since grown into one of the world’s most respected electronic music brands. They celebrate their 15th Anniversary on Saturday June 30th with ‘Wild in the County’, a limited capacity Boutique Festival in the grounds of Knebworth Park.
Renaissance boasts a rich history of presenting events at stately homes and listed buildings: Yorkshire’s Allerton Castle, Colwick Hall, Nottingham and Shugborough Hall in Staffordshire are just a few of the locations that have enjoyed their blend of incredible talent, production and attention to detail, providing an experienced and unprecedented platform with which to present Knebworth…
At the very top of the bill are house music’s biggest names, Sasha and Digweed, reuniting in the UK for the first time in three years to headline the ‘Renaissance 15th Anniversary’ arena!
The ‘Wild’ Arena sees techno kings Ricardo Villalobos, Francois K and Luciano spearhead proceedings, while in the ‘Neon’ arena Erol Alkan, Justice and Simian Mobile Disco play their brand of rock’n’rave. More big names still to be announced.
Wild in the Country, Knebworth is both a celebration of Renaissance’s history and a futuristic showcase of today’s top talent.
