Tech Dance Euphoria
September 29, 2008
One of dance music’s most flamboyant characters, Yoji, has assembled the next DJ-led album for Euphoria – ‘Tech Dance Euphoria’.
Formerly know as Yoji Biomehanika, the Japanese superstar cuts a colourful figure on the international stage. More rock star than DJ, characterised by his striking appearance, trademark make-up, and energetic stage performance, Yoji draws on a rich history within Japanese culture and subverts it to create a highly original persona.
‘Tech-Dance Euphoria’ follows John 00 Fleming’s Psy Trance compilation from earlier this year, and is split into three discs, ‘Essential Tech-Dance’, ‘Trance Selection’ and ‘Classic Selection’. Fast, furious, and unrelenting, each CD features Yoji’s own bespoke take on hard dance, trance, and classics, including tracks by Vandall, Vinylgroover, Si Begg, Darude, and many more.
Yoji has showcased his talent to fans all over the planet at the world’s most prominent clubs, events, and festivals. For 7 years, his residency GIGA has been the leading dance music club event in Japan. The Yoji ‘phenomenon’ includes countless chart topping album and DVD releases by Japan’s leading record company giant AVEX, as well as fashion and accessory items selling under his brand, and a Yoji watch especially designed by Seiko.
Internationally, Yoji’s productions released under his label HELLHOUSE are more popular than ever, and on the remix and production front, Yoji has worked with some of the worlds most respected dance artists.
’Tech-Dance Euphoria’ includes tracks and remixes from Vandall, 1DJ Ghost, Fabio Stein, Ali Wilson & Lee Osbourne, Stone Face & Terminal, Vinylgroover, Scot Project, Bart Claessen, Ronald Van Gelderen, Si Begg, Fred Baker / Total Blackout, Yoji, Sperminator, and many more.
