Stealth Presents….
June 12, 2006
Having taken a breather from the club scene for a few months (bar a brief excursion at the Together party in April!), STEALTH return to Turnmills with a vengeance on Saturday 1st July to bring you PRIMAL ? a raw new concept and the 1st in a series of special one-off events to be held here in London town. Spread across 3 floors, Primal will feature a selection of the finest Drum N? Bass and Hip Hop artists at a guaranteed roadblock session down at the ?Mills.
Flying in from Philadelphia for an exclusive 2 Hour Set we welcome the living legend DJ Cash Money. Inducted into the DMC-Technics Hall of Fame in 1998 as ?The World’s Greatest DJ”, the Philly pioneer has outlasted most of his old-school contemporaries, building a legacy that stretches back to the mid-’80s. Cash is still the only DJ ever to hold all three major titles at the same time winning the New Music Seminar DJ Championship in New York, The DMC American Mixing Championship in Los Angeles and the DMC World Supremacy DJ Championship in London. In fact he was unable to hold onto the top title cos? he was banned from entering the DMC World DJ Championships again because nobody else would stand a chance!! Cash His style is not just Hip Hop but he plays funk, breaks, disco, electro, RnB, Reggae and dancefloor classics. He?s also worked as a producer/remixer for the likes of Snoop Dogg, Q-Tip, Public Enemy and Busta Rhymes and has released a Worldwide Platinum selling album.
Meanwhile, Terra Ferma’s Klashnekoff will be performing live on the night – showcasing cuts from his forthcoming album, whilst Rodney P & Skitz will be bringing their party vibes to the mix. Finsbury Parks No.1 lyrical assassin Skinny Man joins the party as he presents The Mud Family, featuring (take a deep breath), Lickle Jigz AKA Little Skinny Man, Singa Blinga and the International Bollyway Superstar, DJ Nassah. We also welcome back Stealth favourites MK (Kiss 100) and Harry Love (Kung Fu resident) for a spot of DJ business. Finally, laying down the foundations we have our multi-talented Stealth residents Dixie & Twyman – two excellent DJs who are forging a path with their production…
On a Drum N? Bass tip, the dons, Radio 1’s Fabio & Grooverider will be firing up the soundsystem alongside the DJs favourite, “The too hot to handle” – DJ Randall. We also welcome back the mighty Total Science and Loxy who’ll be playing alongside his partner in crime, Ink, as well as Movements? Bryan G who’ll be making his Stealth debut. Always one to harness new talent, Stealth resident Lady Flava is on the warm up tip, with Rude FM 88.2s Dissect and Hades making their debuts. In true Stealth tradition our resident hosts GQ, Fats, Fozz and Stirlin will be there throughout to compliment the music, plus we extend a warm welcome to MC Rage. For this huge Primal party, Stealth also includes a Dubstep room featuring Youngsta, Skream, Hatcha, D1 and Deviant on the decks.
