Starzoom - Billie Jean (People Always Told Me)

On 12th February Gusto Records follow-up their huge hit ‘Love Don’t Let Me Go (Walking Away)’ by David Guetta Vs The Egg, with the release of Starzoom’s stellar ‘Billie Jean (People Always Told Me)’
The single features the instantly recognisable lyrics from Michael Jackson’s ‘Billie Jean’, which featured on the 100 million selling ‘Thriller’, transforming into a crowd-pleasing slice of peak-time house, complete with anthemic strings and an infectious funky bass line.

Remixes come courtesy of Hi_Tack - who’s own Jackson influenced ‘Say Say Say (Waiting 4 U)’ smashed into the UK Top Ten in 2005. The duo deliver two storming remixes, retaining key elements from the original, whilst kicking everything up a notch with tougher production and acid licks. Meanwhile Dave Moureaux’s mix lulls you into a false sense of security with a few unassuming blips, before building into a full on electro stomper, set to cause damage on even the most discerning dance floors.

Hailing from Holland, Dieter Kranenburg has become one of the country’s most in-demand DJ/producers releasing tracks under numerous guises, including Typar. Dietar’s productions now total over 80 12”s and remixes from his early hip-op flavoured joints to current dance/electronica. After years of crafting hits for the underground dance scene, Dieter’s latest project Starzoom is set break him out of the clubs and into the mainstream.
