Soundworx 5th Birthday @ Turnmills
February 13, 2007
Friday, 16th February 2007: put this date in your diary NOW, as Soundworx celebrates five years of bringing the best underground talent from around the world to London’s doorstep. One of Turnmill’s longest running nights, its introduced to the capital’s club scene such cutting edge DJs as Wally Lopez, Chus & Ceballos, Victor Calderone, NRK DJs, King Unique, James Mowbray, and many more.
From day one, Soundworx has been the place to hear new DJs first, well before they’ve become well-known figures. With an ear for the future, renowned promoter Nicole Moudaber has made the night something special - a unique foray into undiscovered sounds and the finest underground music.
The birthday line-up features DC10’s stalwarts, Peace Division, whose below-counter house music has maintained them as leading lights for the more discerning dancefloor enthusiast for the best part of a decade. Joining them is Pete Gooding, one of Britain’s finest DJs and producers whose musical knowledge covers pretty much every electronic genre; he made his name in Ibiza, but Pete’s worldwide standing sees him gigging on a global basis every weekend - the world’s loss is the UK’s gain as he comes to Soundworx for a special birthday set. Finally, bringing up the rear are future stars, OrtzRoka, one of the hottest young electronica outfits in the UK; catch them for a rare DJ set.
