What is there to say that isn’t in the headline! Holland’s Sander van Doorn is about to make history! He is the first Dutchman to be invited to host an entire show on the UK’s BBC Radio 1!
Radio 1’s Thursday night superstar DJ Eddie Halliwell is off on tour for 2 weeks and will be handing over his show for week 1 to SANDER VAN DOORN! Eddie has toyed for weeks over who to ask, but it wasn’t long before Sander’s phone was ringing with the all important invitation to stand in for a one off show! Luckily for Eddie, Sander van Doorn is pretty much fluent in English; so the show is in capable hands.
Obviously, stepping into Halliwell’s shoes is no easy task, having marshalled his own loyal hardcore crew of clubbing cadets so Sander knows he has his work cut out! You can be sure of the following: Sander will be pulling out all the stops to ensure his 2 hour visit is a memorable one.
Having spent the best part of May in the studio, Sander will deploy some Radio 1 exclusives, drop an ‘Alertn8’ mix you may never hear anywhere else, and a ‘Fullfire’ mix that’ll keep you up well into the early hours.
