April 26, 2007
She’s big, she’s bad and she’s back! Poly takes the reigns again for another mammoth Bank Holiday stormer, this time at the legendary Ministry of Sound on Sunday May 6th!
Polysexual South: BK ‘Under The Influence’ Album Launch Party is the chance to see some of your dance music heroes in action at one of the most famous clubs in the world.
Speaking about his impending set, producer icon BK said, “The Ministry of Sound is one of the best venues in the country with an amazing sound system. I can’t wait to play there its a rare treat when hard dance gets to take over the main floor with a line up like this.”
Gracing the Ministry’s hallowed decks will be Lisa Lashes, Andy Whitby, Nick Sentience, Karim, Greg Brookman, Mark H and Dr Duzzit, as they go all out to help BK unleash his beast of an album onto the dance floors for the very first time!
Room 2 sees the Hardcore Euphoria massive raving it up with Billy ‘Daniel’ Bunter, Dougal, DJ Wonter & MC Jabba, Sytronik, Sketchy, DJ Rampant, Petrucio, DJ Dizzy and MCs Casper, Spenno and Mayers all on blistering form.
The Adventures of the Purple Monkey swing into the third room for the hottest breaks and electro you could wish to get your hands on. JDS heads it up, joined by sensation Jnr J, Steelo, Ben Gomori (Dex N FX) and Stylus Rex. If you haven’t had any purple primate action before, prepare yourself because these guys are extremely hot to trot.
Finally the Epidemik present Rave Rewind with a blistering selection of the best classic underground dance music. Vinyl Vera serves up a 2007 Rave Breaks set, DJ J.C gives us a 93-94 Hardcore classics, DJ Flashback and DJ Strict provide 1990-93 Hardcore Classics, DJ Upfront and MC Spenno rip it up with some 95-97 Happy Hardcore, NSK take it back even further with some 91-92 Hardcore and finally Danish Mike goes b2b with Friller for a Jungle Drum & Bass Classics 93-96 set. It’s all about the eras baby!
Andy Whitby is definitely one person who’s more than looking forward to the night! “I can’t wait for Polysexual South at Ministry of Sound!” he said. “It’s my MOS debut, my Polys South debut and to have both of these on a bank holiday means it’s going to be an absolutely rocking party! Add into the mix BK’s album launch and this is surely one of can’t-miss events so far this year!”
His sentiments are more than shared by Billy ‘Daniel’ Bunter, who enthused, “(I) cannot wait for this… Hardcore at The Ministry, along side a fat hard dance line up, it’s gonna be big!!!”
