Platnum ‘Love Shy (Thinking About You)’ - Video

September 29, 2008

Hard2Beat has had a phenomenal year! After notching up four consecutive top five hits from the likes of Basshunter, H ‘two’ O Feat Platnum and September, they have made history, becoming the first dance imprint to ever achieve this with their first four releases! If that wasn’t impressive enough, Basshunter’s debut album knocked Coldplay off the #1 in the UK album chart.

In the wake of their massive Number 2 hit, ‘What’s It Gonna Be’ with H ‘two’ O, Manchester trio Platnum are back with their hotly-tipped follow up ‘Love Shy’.

‘What’s It Gonna Be,’ the debut track from H ‘two’ O Feat. Platnum, peaked at number 2 on the UK singles chart for 3 weeks. Shortly after, it went silver and has sold over 240,000 copies. And that’s not all: their debut hit had the honour of being the second most played record on Radio 1, was number 1 on the TV airplay chart for 4 consecutive weeks and has been a mainstay of the top 100 for 15 weeks. The official video alone has also notched up a staggering 7 million views on YouTube and is the fourth most played video on TV this year.200809291803.jpg

Platnum are Aaron, Mina and Michelle and their remake of Kristine Blond’s sexy garage favourite, ‘Love Shy,’ is a frenzied slab of pure bassline house with sleek vocals, squelchy synths and charging bass.

Old school piano house kicks off the remix package, with the Soul Avengerz dropping four to the floor beats, soaring vocals and euphoric strings. Paul Emanuel is next up with a cheeky electro re-rub including a raucous rap and acid synths, whilst DJ Q’s take is a nod to late 90s speed garage, with bubbling 303s and glitchy electronics thrown over the top. Pounding bass and rave klaxons close as Bass Slammers drop a bomb of hardcore heaven.
