Pink Punk is the slam-child of Yap, the former front man of British rap metal legends One Minute Silence (V2/Taste) and Zoo Politics , the band?s
debut outing, is a wake up call for anyone that thought Saul Williams, Immortal Technique or Henry Rollins didn?t exist.
Yap formed Pink Punk with producer John Hendicott and vocalist Donna Williams in 2004 and the album ZOO POLITICS was completed this year. A
prolific slam poet, public speaker, writer and documentary film maker, YAP and Pink Punk have already ignited a global cult following and huge online
fan base as people everywhere are left stunned, reeling, elated, frightened, and empowered by the band?s work.
The video for Yapolitical, directed by Andy Oates, is a vicious assassination of news media and corrupt politics and is filled with terrifying images of war, violence and bloodshed at the hands of state-controlled terrorism. It will may never see the light of day with mainstream broadcasting media - but is to be a cult classic online.
