Monochrome - Pearl

Hot on the heals of Josh Gabriel’s exceptional “Summit” single, Organized Nature turns up the pressure again.

In the summer of 2007, Gabriel & Dresden were asked to judge the finals of the Heineken Thirst Studio Global competition in Las Vegas, and the winners got to go into the studio with G&D. Whilst there the winners played another of their tracks to Josh & Dave who loved it, signed it, and then remixed it.

It was Monochrome (aka Livio & Roby feat. George G) from Bucharest, Romania, who won the competition which searched the globe for up and coming producer talent. As part of their prize they worked with Gabriel and Dresden on their track “Pearl” in the legendary Palm Studios in Las Vegas, and it was there that a blossoming creative friendship began.

Livio is a highly regarded producer and DJ on the Romanian electronic scene and increasingly the international circuit, with over 10 years experience under his belt. Robert Precup (aka Roby) has also been a producer for over 10 years, playing both the piano and guitar. Involved in electronic and alternative projects, he finally found his production match when he met Livio in 2002.

Their break came in 2005 three of their productions, “Bitter Sweet” (Terrace Mix), “Headz On” and “Out Of Bass”, were included on Steve Lawler’s compilation - “Lights Out 3” (Global Underground). More recently tracks appeared on compilations like Steve Lawler’s “Viva” and Hernan Cattaneo’s “Renaissance”.

They work under the name of Monochrome with the inclusion of George C in the production team, and have released previously on labels like Viva Music, Solace Digital Trax, Only Records…etc.

As a live act, Monochrome raises the energy on the dance floor. Recently the boys have played locally at La Mania, opening up B’ESTIVAL for artists like Morcheeba and Faithless, and outside Romania in Las Vegas, Dance Valley festival in Amsterdam, Seattle and New York.
