Matt Samuels
1/09/2007Rising UK star, Matt Samuels returns with a choice three-tracker from his rapidly expanding arsenal of quality productions. If you’ve been checking his studio antics recently you’ll have picked up a remix of Jon Gurd & Rob Mooney – Mac Love (Matt Samuels Rmx) on BassForBreakfast Records, and Justin Xara – La Discotheque (Matt Samuels Rmx) on Deeper Substance Records, and of course his rather large Depeche Mode ‘Enjoy The Silence’ remix that is getting support from some of the world’s biggest DJs. He’s currently back into the studio working on new tunes, and has just done a remix of a track by A’n'R (“I Don’t Care” for CR2). Then there’s a Remix of the new Rhythm Code track called “Get Up” for DSR. Look out for a single with Andrea Britton too.
On remix duty is the most excellent Joshua Collins, who is surely one of the most exciting artists to emerge from Chicago in recent years? Joshua Collins has become one of the most solid and enticing producers in the U.S., offering a consistent flow of releases that range from tech-house and house to techno. An extensive musical background and years of training in piano and cello have given Joshua a strong platform to excel as a
producer, remix artist and DJ. Now with more than 100 releases, his tastes and interest in music have been continuously expanding and growing, and we can only anticipate what enticing and prevailing new things Joshua Collins will unleash to take us, and the rest of the world by storm. If you like his remixes here, look out for a new project coming out on Urban Torque, called LILO. There’s also a remix for Peter Corvaia which is
coming out on Circle Music, and a remix for Onionz which is coming out on ‘Hardplace Records’.
