Lemon Jelly Complete Line Up for Hi:Fi South
March 31, 2006

Three new artists have been added to the southern leg of the brand new Hi:Fi festival: Lemon Jelly, My Robot Friend and Kharma 45 now complete the line ups for
Hi:Fi South 2006
Hi:Fi South is a camping weekender that takes place over two days from 27th-28th May at the legendary Matterley Bowl Estate in Hampshire, made famous by the Homelands festival which took place in the same site over the same weekend. The festival coincides with the last bank holiday in May and will officially kick start the Summer?s music calendar.
Lemon Jelly, My Robot Friend and Karma 45 will join the likes of Ian Brown and Hard-Fi who are headlining the festival as well as Super Furry Animals and Go Team. Lemon Jelly have been nominated for Brits and Mercury Awards but are best known for their handcrafted sonic collages which sample English brass bands, nursery rhymes and classic, leftfield, downtempo electronica. My Robot Friend looks just like his music sounds: wires burst out of head and body and his sound fuses bleeps and glitches resulting in upbeat synth techno. Kharma 45 are a northern Irish band who have been snapped up by Atlantic because of their sharp, hard-edge sound that fuses electronica, dance and classic indie.
Hi:Fi is the UK?s first ever rock and dance festival. The world?s biggest DJs are also performing including Paul Oakenfold, Sasha and Digweed (Back to Back), Mylo, Erick Morillo, Carl Cox, Roni Size and 2ManyDJs.
Seven state-of-the-art arenas will be erected to house the cross spectrum of dance and live music. Whether it?s drum and bass or hands in the air euphoric house, Hi:Fi organisers have made sure there?s something for all musical tastes. The event will also feature a quality bill of non-musical entertainment including chill out areas, fun fairs, cinema?s, the Hed Kandi VIP and the Laptastic late night lap dancing arena.
