Kylie defends album

January 16th, 2008

Kylie has defended her latest album, titled X, against critics who found the record too impersonal.

The Aussie singer released the album after recovering from breast cancer and didn’t want to remind herself of the experience by writing songs about it.

She tells Australia’s The Daily Telegraph: “The only bit of criticism was saying that it wasn’t that personal.

“Having been ill, I didn’t want to write about being ill, not a whole album. I wanted, for my own sake, to do what I do, which is songs like Wow, In My Arms, 2 Hearts.”

Had she gone the opposite direction Kylie is sure she’d still face criticism adding: “If I had done an album that was totally personal there would be comments the other way.”
