John Gielen – Physical Overdrive
16/08/2006Maelstrom Records is going from strength to strength in 2006 with a string of massive releases from some of the biggest names in dance music including Marco V, Ti?sto (under his Allure guise) Bobina, Mr Sam and now the Belgian-destroyer that is Johan Gielen, who not only drops this spine-tingler of a single but also his first full artist album.
Over the last ten years Belgium-born Johan has been at the head of his game, touring the world playing at some of the biggest and best parties across the globe from his legendary residency at Tokyo-based Club Valfarre through to playing to 35,000 + people at the infamous Dutch mega raves like Sensation, Dance Valley and Mysterylands and beyond, Johan has built a solid reputation for his world class DJ sets that take in progressive to trance to techno which make him one of the biggest and best DJs within his scene.
2006 sees Johan release his debut artist album ?Revelations? an album that will only further cement his world-class reputation. Following the massive solo productions ?Dreamchild,? ?Flash? and ?Show Me What You Got? alongside joint productions with partner Sven Maes as ?Airscape? the duo reached fame worldwide with their remix of Delerium?s gigantic ?Silence? that saw the pair become partly responsible for this record becoming a massive airplay success. ?Physical Overdrive? is the first single to be taken from
the forthcoming album and is a true trance classic in the making with it?s lush melodies, huge synth lines and hypnotic vocal building into what can only be described as Trance ?like they used to make it?. We?ll leave you to make up your minds.
