200611272025 tm Introducing Nude

In 2005, Ibiza based DJ Smokin Jo, and London’s renowned party organiser, Terry Hart, joined forces to create a party that was different from the trend saturating London’s club scene.
What started off as a relatively small intimate gathering at a small underground nightclub has progressed to road block parties at London’s Ministry of Sound. Throw in a couple of parties on the most famous terrace in the world at Space and secret beach parties, both in Ibiza and you have NUDE.

The philosophy behind NUDE is “what you see is what you get”. We are all born into this world equal, with nothing to hide, nude, filthy, beautiful and loved. NUDE is as much about outrageous, quirky avant-garde performance as it is about contemporary first-rate music. Jo and Terry together wanted to incorporate their backgrounds in Theatre, Fashion and Dance into NUDE and this they certainly have done.

The performers, or the Nudist Colony as they like to be known, are a troupe of freaks, performance artists, professional dancers, strange oddities and general fashionistas that aim to shock as well as entertain. Scantily clad trapeze artists decorate the ceiling, whilst androgynous dancers writhe and twist their way around a mixed crowd of cool fashion kids and music lovers alike. Team these with a cutting edge music policy, unrivalled resident DJs and some of the biggest named guests in Techno, House and Minimal and it’s no surprise that NUDE has exploded the way it has.

With NUDE, Smokin Jo wanted to advocate some of London’s finest up and coming DJs. Residents Mazzy Supastar, Tim Red and Luke VB have become sought after DJs on London’s vibing East End scene. Jo ensures the Deep House, Minimal Techno and Electro vibe runs through the veins of the night at all times, only booking masters in their fields. Previous guests have included Freak ‘n’ Chic’s head honcho Dan Ghenacia, Ralph Lawson, Silicone Soul, Clive Henry, Jose Divina,Michel de Hey and Jo Mills. They have helped to create some of the most revolutionary parties in Ibiza and at Ministry of Sound, the like London has never seen.

Having conquered both London and Ibiza, Terry and Jo intend to tour worldwide, taking the NUDE ethos, atmosphere, performers and DJs with them.If you would like your venue to host one of the most ground breaking parties of recent times NUDE is the obvious choice.
