Hat Club @- Turnmills with Sandy Rivera, Trophy Twins, and Ableton Live

June 12, 2007

On 4th August 2007, Hat-Club is set to take its hat wearing brigade to Turnmills – one of London’s top nightclubs for its biggest event to date, with the incredible Sandy Rivera on top of the bill.

Not content in staying in one place, Hat-Club has been marching around clubland. Usually found at The Key and Canvas, Hat-Club promoters are now unleashing its party with an electric atmosphere to die for, for a one-off shindig at Farringdon venue, Turnmills. On 2nd June, Hat-Club smashed The Key in Kings Cross, buts its now saving itself for Turnmills due to a very busy season AND its first ever weekly residency in Ibiza at Café Savannah – so, that’s a whole nine weeks to find a new a hat!

Sandy Rivera, a man of many guises including Kings Of Tomorrow and Mysterious People, will head up the event in his Hat-Club debut. His house anthem loved by all ‘Finally’, and more recently his chart topping ‘Lollipop’, have made him a wanted man. The man with the big hair said “The idea and following this party has sounds really hot! I can safely say I’ve never played a hat party before so am really looking forward to it. I’ve heard the Hat Club crowd are rather hot too – another thing to look forward to, and I love my hats so will be wearing a special one for the night!”

Having found time in their jam-packed DJ schedule, Radio 1’s Trophy Twins will support Rivera, churning out their diverse house beats with Togetherness’ Rob Marmott who’s known for putting on parties in both London and on the white isle. This one-off Hat-Club event wouldn’t be complete without its residents; just like the gorgeous crowd who descend on its every party, its resident DJs are equally as dedicated and a huge part of the Hat-Club family. Fast rising star Filthy Rich will heat things up, along with Roger Sanchez favourites, Prok & Fitch. The group of quality house DJs to play - some who’ve been with Hat-Club since its birth in 2004, include Nick Piper, Henry Burrows, DJ Roo, Tim Priestly and Vince Frimpong.

Hat-Club has built a reputation on its unique party ethos, but on a musical note, these nights parade some of the best DJs and producers around. Take for example, the Tim Sheridan tipped Filthy Rich, and Stealth Record signing’s Prok & Fitch. It’s down to booking this pedigree talent that Hat-Club have a new partner involved in this event - Ableton Live. This German revolutionary piece of musical software is used by some of the worlds biggest DJ’s and producers including Richie Hawtin, Pete Tong, Sasha & Digweed and Nic Fanciulli. Ableton and its distributor M-Audio will showcase a number of technical wizards to rock the third room.

So with all that going on, it’s clear this is Hat-Club’s most prevalent gig to date. It’s a one off opportunity, so get your glad rags on, grab your tiffer, and prepare yourself for the hottest Hat-Club party yet.
