Hat-Club Announce New DJ Residents – The BeatThiefs
17/12/2007Hat-Club, most commonly known for its parties with a hat-clad and loyal following, is also well known for its stack of resident DJ’s who showcase on rotation across its nights. On this note, Hat-Club is proud to announce The BeatThiefs’ recent arrival.
For those not in the know, The BeatThiefs aka Henry Hacking and Tee Vegas have been steadily causing waves across the house scene with their house-pumping and technically enhanced DJ sets. On the production side they’ve been remixing records for Switch on ‘A Bit Patchy’, Simple Minds ‘Different World’, and were responsible for a UK Club Chart number one with CRW, on remix duties for ‘I Feel Love’. They are currently hard at work in the studio remixing some hit worthy tracks for the infamous Jim Tonique on Attractive Music and a top secret project on Superstar Records. It’s not surprising then that Hat-Club is grinning ear to ear about showcasing The BeatThiefs in 2008.
Not to put anybody on a pedestal, the proof truly is in the pudding – their DJ sets and productions really do have that special touch. Since having joined forces in 2005, The BeatThiefs have played all over the globe including Dubai, Canada, Russia, Portugal, and Germany, and everywhere else in between. They’ve been supported by Stonebridge and Judge Jules: grabbed the attention of iDJ and the DJ Times; and now have their debut single ‘Why Did Ya?’ featuring top vocalist, Shena out on Sutil Records in January ‘08.
Using four hands in the DJ booth to their best advantage, Henry and Tony play over four CDJ’s and FX machines, filling their energetic sets with technical trickery and scratching.
Next year is going to get even busier for Hat-Club. They will return for another tour of the Middle East heading to destinations including Bahrain and Dubai, plus a tour of Asia where The BeatThiefs will be a regular fixture.
