Eyerer & Chopstick ‘Haunting’

That?s right our kid, iO Music continue it?s drive to become one of the UK?s leading purveyors of all that?s electronic and house (hey, just don?t call it Electro House!) With this stunning fresh new single from one of the hottest production teams in electronic house Martin Eyerer and Chi-Thien Nguyen, better known as Chopstick

If you know the difference between house (as in where you live) and house (the music) chances are you?ll have heard of these guys. Both hugely influential producers in their own right; Martin with releases on labels such as Ministry Of Sound, Above The Sky, Unsubmissive alongside numerous collaborations and side projects whilst Chopstick has released music through Hooj, Silly Spider and his own Criminal Records. Both sides of the team have a huge amount of support from such deck luminaries as Digitalism, Chloe, Moguai, Funk D?void and Tom Neville, whilst the list of artists this duo have remixed include Kosheen, Snap, Simply Red, Deelite, Cassius, Deep Dish, LL Cool J, XZibit, Britney ?single again? Spears and Madonna. It?s fair to say I could actually run out space for famous people, DJs and labels that this duo have either remixed, been supported by or had records released by and that my friend, is no easy feat!

But the best bit for you dear reader, is they?re still banging more tunes out and becoming more and more famous than they could have ever hoped which brings us to here, Haunting, a collaboration between this super cool pair of producers that has seen numerous releases, including the massive Electric on Great Stuff which saw the electronic house glitterati go wild over (well, a few nods of appreciation came from the chin-strokers in the corner) and here they make their fantastic debut for iO Music and to be completely honest WE LOVE IT!

Haunting is a beautifully constructed piece of electronica, from it?s simple, spacious groove to uplifting synths, bass and electric guitars, all those with a good ear for a winner will instantly recognise this for what it is. On the flip Chistopher Just delivers (dare I say?) an ?electro house? remix with big squelching bass alongside that massive electric guitar riif whilst Gui Boratto delivers a much more stripped back mix and such a fan of this track was he, he saw fit to add his own vocal!

On that note, following the release of this as an instrumental track rumour has it their might be a full vocal version to follow around April / May and that vocal could be delivered from one of electro clash?s royalty. But for now, mums? the word.

Next up on iO is one of our favourite German?s Oliver Klein, dropping his massive Rheinkraft under a new title, Re-kraft, plus remixes from Pig & Dan and Gui Boratto (again) and with that, I?ll shut up.
