Edinburgh Clubbing Community Forum - Charity Update

On the 4th November 2006 the Edinburgh Clubbing Community Forum (eccf.co.uk) and Edinburgh based sound and lighting specialists, Northern Light, teamed up to bring the Edinburgh club scene a charity event to raise money for the Edinburgh Sick Kids Friends foundation, the event was held in the Caves on South Niddry street and featured over 20 dj?s from Edinburghs finest club nights. Stereotype, Taste, Fever ,Tokyoblu, Afterdark, Progression, Freqbeat, Majestica, Karnival, Beatroot, Trade Union and DJ?s from the ECCF.
The night was a phenomenal success with the eerie underworld vaults of the caves being transformed into a showcase event of unparalleled production quality.
The night was attended by over 550 Edinburgh clubbers who danced the night away in full fancy dress, creating an electric atmosphere brought on by the eerie surroundings, production quality and the fact that they were helping raise money for such a worthwhile cause.
The final total raised on the night was five thousand pounds, and that total is being match funded by the national lottery bringing the final total raised on the night to ten thousand pounds.
Neil Numb events manager for the ECCF said ?I am overwhelmed with the support that we received from our media sponsors Northern Light and from the Edinburgh Club Scene as a whole, this is definitely one of the best gigs we have done for the charity and I am speechless with the final total of ?10k?
Colin Cuthbert, Managing Director at Northern Light, said: ?I was delighted to offer our services to help such a worthy charity. In the past two years, ECCF has already raised over ?10,000 for Edinburgh?s Sick Kids and the fact that Northern Light has helped to double that figure is absolutely amazing.?
