Duran Duran To Play Virtiual World Second Life

Duran Duran are to create a virtual island within Second Life and are lining up to perform some live concerts inside the game.
The band is the first major group to announce a virtual world presence in the massive 3D online game with over 370,000 regular visitors to the online world.
Duran Duran keyboardist Nick Rhodes said “Second Life has brought a third dimension to the internet; it is the new frontier where dreams have become reality. When the video revolution began we instantly saw the opportunity to experiment and explore a new form of expression to enhance the musical experience. Second Life is the future right now, offering endless possibilities for artists.”
3D versions of he band members have been commissioned and he band are se to perform in side the game within the next 4-5 weeks.
