Crouch’s Robot Dance Craze Set To Pop At Creamfields Festival
July 13, 2006
Research undertaken by the UK?s Number One dance festival Creamfields has revealed that Peter Crouch? robot will be the most popular dance move amongst visitors to this years event in Daresbury, Halton, Cheshire.
Organisers of the festival, asked 5000 ticket buyers which dance they will be busting a move to on Saturday 26th August Bank Holiday Weekend, with 70% of respondents agreeing that the giant striker’s body-popping antics will top the chart and continue to be the most popular dance move of the summer. The irony is that the big man plays his football for the red half of Liverpool.
Second with 20% of the votes is the ever popular ‘head bang’ - the signature dance of The Prodigy’s Keith, made famous in the band’s legendary Firestarter video.
Making their debut alongside The Zutons is “The Indie Shuffle” and the “Britpop Swagger” , which both received five percent of the votes. This year’s line up is more diverse than ever before with The Zutons, Gnarls Barkley, Goldfrapp and The Prodigy appearing as the headline acts and over a hundred of the worlds best DJ?s.
Cream CEO James Barton said: “Considering the amount of hardcore dance music fans that visit Creamfields each year, the fact that the most popular dance will be ‘The Crouch’ is astounding. Whilst the inclusion of Gnarls Barkley and The Zutons is bringing a whole new fanbase to the event, we didn’t anticipate Peter would have such a huge influence on the ticket-goers!”
