Lee Burridge Interview:

You?re playing at the South Eastern European Music Exhibition in Sofia in May. Have you played in Bulgaria before?

I played almost two years ago at the same time Exit festival was on in Serbia. I loved it. Amazing people is what I remember!

Q: Have you played in any other South Eastern European countries?

Being really bad a geography I’. not sure what other countries are in S.Eastern Europe. Australia and Hawaii right??!! I’ve actually just played again in Serbia last night and am on my way to Romania as I type. do they
count?

Q: what has been your favourite clubbing Experience in South Eastern Europe?

Always ending up changing my flight and staying at the party until Tuesday afternoon. Oh and the girls are very beautiful…x

Q: What do you think of the scene in South Eastern Europe?

I love it. I don’t have to say anything more.

Q: How do you think this new music conference will help the scene in this area?

I hope so as more people should discover the wonders of eastern Europe. Good luck!

Q: Do you think it will help the rest of the music industry take notice of how the scene is developing here?

It will take a few years but the answer is yes. The more attention the better and I hope the attention will be on Eastern European djs and not just visiting djs.

Q: Do you know of any good local DJ?s that you rate and that we should look out for?

Ask me this time next year when I’ve had a chance to hear them play.

Q: Have you attended or played at any other music conferences?

The obvious answer is Miami winter music conference which was amazing this year. I saw loads of excellent people play and went out Friday and came home Wednesday. Thursday was a difficult day!! I will be playing at the new conference in San Francisco later on this year and will probably go to Sonar in Barcelona next month.

Q: What would your tips be to anyone going to a music conference for the first time so they can get the most out it?

Don’t go to bed.

Q: What can we expect from your set at the conference?

Lots of wobbly twisted fucked up music.

Q: You have been travelling all over the world on your 365 tour, tell us more about it?

I’ve just finished the first year of the project. I have two more years and can’t wait. The response has been unbelievable. The idea of living in a city/country for a month or two has really worked out. I got to play four parties and make music in Hong Kong, Ibiza, New York, Florence, Sydney,
Buenos Aires and Denver over the last year and made a load of new friends. The second year is going to be a little different but still with the same sort of feel.

Q: Are you releasing any tracks or albums this year
Hopefully a 365 double mix CD alongside the collaborations of original music will be out later on this year as a triple pack. I’m also starting a new label called Almost Anonymous to release some of the singles.
