Circo Loco’s Clive Henry - Halo
November 15, 2007
On Saturday the 17th of November Halo return to the Cross for our second to last party at the venue before it closes forever. This party features headline DJ Clive Henry whose reputation throughout the electronic music industry is second to none. As a legendary DJ in his own right he has held the enviable title of Circo Loco resident @ DC10 in Ibiza and has played all over the world including numerous sets at Fabric, a sure sign that he is considered one of the finest DJs this country has to offer. As well as his DJ exploits, Clive is also renowned as a highly talented producer and re-mixer too. From his solo productions such as the seminal “Amber Groove” (under his pseudonym SAS) to singles such as “Body and Soul”, his pedigree and track record is proven.
Together with Justin Drake they form Peace Division whose releases such as “Black Light Sleaze” can be counted amongst our favourites in the Halo office, so it really is a pleasure to welcome him to the decks. Roll on the 17th of November…we can’t wait. As always, the line up in the main room also features a selection of the UKs finest up and coming DJs. This month we see Neil Parkes (Below) return to the fold alongside awesome Halo residents Tom Roberts and Chris Hartnett.
The Middle arch features resident DJ Jay Da Funk alongside the discernable talents of Red Eleven, a.k.a Olli Collins (Eleven Recordings) and James Jackson whose set’s never fail to rock the room. These boys bust some serious moves on the decks, with effects, samples and all sorts of interesting skills on show. If you like your house sets inventive then this is definitely the room for you. Also joining us on the 17th of November we are pleased to welcome back Charlie Lang who absolutely smashed last time round, alongside two more of Bournemouth’s finest DJs, Aaron-I-Am and Dan Styles. Each DJ brings their own distinctive style making this a truly balanced line up and a mouth watering prospect indeed…don’t miss out.
The live room as always features the very best soulful house, for all our members who just love it funky. Award winning DJ Jason Sears is joined by Good Times and Halo residents Loud Minority alongside Kevin Reynolds on smooth sax. Still one of the most popular rooms at Halo, get your fix of anthems, classics and upfront funkiness on November 17th….Halo style! Last but not least, don’t forget that the secret Grotto also features the very best of Nu-Disco and electronica for serious music fans and aficionados alike with another 6 hour mix marathon from the awesome DJ Simon Barr.
As if that wasn’t already enough, we also have another one of our free after parties with DJs Ashley Wild, Johnny Blanco and Tom Craven. What more could you possibly want?
