Carl Cox And Friends, Ahoy Festival

On April 8th Carl Cox And Friends touch down at Ahoy for a celebration of electronic music, with 12,000 of his friends in tow.
Carl says, ?It isn?t like one DJ performing for twelve hours, it?s a combination of great production, the best possible music and a real element of performance, like a live drummer, vocalist or guitar player on stage. Adding a live element to a party of this nature can go two ways - people are going to love it or hate it. I think we definitely pulled it off on the first and second events (this is the third Ahoy festival). It?s as big as a traditional rock concert, only led by DJs. ?
Carl concludes: ?In 2006 there are a lot people still thinking that the dance scene is dead, finished and done with, and here I am with my first two large scale solo events with over 12,000 people going mad.? His top billing at Coachella, alongside pop and rock?s luminaries goes one step further to prove the point.
