As One’ Presents Tim Deluxe
January 15, 2007

In September 2006 a rapturous capacity crowd at The End were treated to an all night musical bonanza from one of dance music’s most popular characters. This unforgettable performance has heralded a swift return to The End’s main room turntables, as the inimitable Tim Deluxe gears up for another peak-time onslaught alongside a choice selection of guests on Saturday January 27th 2007.
Tim is a dance music veteran, scoring his first residency at Ministry in the early nineties whilst still under 18, and going on to produce some of the finest garage of the late 90s. However, it wasn’t until 2002, and the release of ‘It Just Won’t Do’ that Tim was fully catapulted in to the mainstream consciousness as he scored one of the biggest dance music anthems of recent years. That track was followed by his debut solo long player ‘The Little Ginger Club Kid’, which garnered both public and critical acclaim across the board. With his new album ‘Egodeath’ on the horizon and gathering steam, his name is finding itself back on the tip of everybody’s tongue, and with the cacophonous buzz that surrounded the release of the super-limited edition ‘Espoo’s Rose’, the album looks set to be huge! This main room set from one of the great party-starters is not to be missed as Tim slaloms his way through a peak time set of the finest across the board house, techno, breaks and more!
Joining Tim at the main room controls is another titanic name in dance music, Jon Carter. A legendary DJ across the world, it is probably quicker to list the countries he hasn’t played in than those he has. His career really took off when he scored a residency at the now legendary Heavenly Social club night alongside The Chemical Brothers, Norman Cook and Andrew Weatherall. Jon went on from there to establish himself as a leading figure in house music, and a globally renowned and in-demand DJ, not least as Fatboy Slim’s support act for his monumentally successful beach boutique parties in Brighton, Rio de Janeiro, Ireland and beyond. His fired-up house set will be a scorching addition to the main room.
The final name on the main room bill, Sebastian Ingrosso, is one of the hottest and freshest talents in dance music right now, and is best known as part of what has been tagged the ‘Swedish House Mafia’. With his blistering DJ sets making people around the world sit up and take notice, and his prolific studio output that has seen him remix the likes of Moby, Steve Lawler and Justin Timberlake in 2006 alone, he is a seriously hot prospect for 2007. With the addition of Sebastian to this mouth-watering main room bill we have a seriously explosive concoction on our hands!
In the lounge, XFM’s Eddy Temple Morris will be showcasing his considerable talents. His show and club night ‘The Remix’ is at once innovative, original and entertaining, and is the best place to hear the best rock and dance music in the same place. He is also the premier source for the best cut-ups and bootlegs around, so expect to hear some super-exclusives in the lounge on January 27th! Meanwhile, AKA stalwarts Sancho Panza will be returning with their carnival-tinged house upstairs. Residents Matt Brown & Jimmy K-Tel will ensure AKA is bouncing from start to finish, with three rooms of great music and some of the most exciting DJs on the circuit, this party will not disappoint!
