Afraid It’s The End For Jaded

February 23, 2007

The End launches its first weekly after hours on Sunday 4th March - Jaded.

Jaded has always been an after hours, not a carry on – a big party in its own right, and moving to The End means the new guest DJs and attention to detail we have always dreamed of, not to mention one of the best sound systems in the world.

The party will run like never before, a highly ritualised day designed to lift clubbed-out spirits and marched-out raving feet that begins the moment you step into AKA. In the tradition of some of the most legendary parties, we will warm you up properly - with music that inspired the electronic debauchery below. Later on in the day there’ll be more physical and visual entertainment to keep even the most restless of after hours soldiers amused.

Upstairs we’ll also be getting our big guest DJs and producers to journey back to their roots with the music that inspired them as youngun’s. At Jaded we think there’s always some proper pop to get you out of your chair, your party clock reset to zero.
Then just as you’re beginning to get restless, The End’s Lounge will open. Guest parties including DDD, Familia and Electric Sex will alternate.

Finally the main room comes into play. Random Factor is our first live guest, alongside resident Raymundo Rodriguez so there’ll be a raging atmosphere downstairs and a sea of cosseted fun up top. We will be sure to continue the Jaded tradition of welcoming surprise international guests whenever they’re in town.

Jaded‘s Promoter Krista adds “At the first after party I organised a decade ago, art students made us 3 banners which read ‘Being Loved, Being Free and Being There’. That to me sums up what a great after hours is all about, and what we hope to achieve at The End. Clubbers will be able to properly earn their Jaded stripes too; free places will be awarded to avant garde dressers and free thinkers. Membership cards won’t just let you bunk the queue, but also get into a proper members’ area right on the dancefloor. The party really is just beginning and we couldn’t be more excited”

Jaded Resident DJ and Party starter Raymundo Rodriguez adds ”Jaded has become a Sunday clubbing institution, and I feel very proud and privileged to be a part of it. Being a resident at the End is every DJ’s dream, so to say I’m excited by the prospect is a major understatement….”

Finally, as we love to say at Jaded, please remember - sleep is for the week!

The End & AKA – every Sunday morning – Jaded – 0600/1300 (AKA opens from 6am, The End opens from 8am) - £12/£8 members/ concs – Fully licensed bar till close

London’s legendary decadent after-hours club sets up home at The End&AKA. Raymundo Rodriguez and friends play uplifting house, electro and more to a
colourful crowd of minimalists, maximalists, club kids, glamour kitties, freaks, geeks, DJs and promoters - but definitely no wronguns! Join the backlash against Sunday roast dinners – resistance is futile.
