Sankeys - Fridays Through June 2008

Sankeys has once again been leading the Northern line with the most cutting edge techno music around, with the likes of Tania Vulcano, Thomas Schumacher, Trentemoller and Booka Shade serenading to a dedicated Friday faithful in recent months. Having closed the book on Tribal Sessions, the team at Sankeys have continued to secure electric bookings for a Friday night - possibly why DJmagazine recently made the club the 17th best on the planet… and why The Fresh Page placed the club in their top 10 in the world, quipping “their aim is for you to have a good time, and luckily, you’ll find it hard to be disappointed… where else would you want to be?”

The Zoo Project Ibiza 2008

Everyone goes to Ibiza in search of that once in a life time crazy experience. Look no further! The Zoo Project on Saturdays has created a really cool daytime electronic pool party experience that is hidden away in the hills of Ibiza in an old abandoned Zoo from the 1970s!

We are getting so excited as the summer season approaches. We are proud to announce that after the success of The Zoo Project in 2007 we will be opening the doors and letting the animals stampede again for another season.

The Zoo Project is seen as the most original party concept to hit Europe in recent years. With 4 arenas, The Zoo Project is an underground musical gathering which is definitely the place to be this year.

The beautiful garden of Gala Night is the most attractive setting for The Zoo concept. The Zoo Project will be kicking off at 4pm on the June 21st 2008. The Zoo Project will be teaming up with Pepo Lanzoni’s famous Ibiza Underground Movement, for an official “Zoo Project carry on” as we host the Coco Loco room four times this season, at the world’s biggest club Privilege on Saturdays.

Together - SCALA LAUNCH PARTY

Turnmills’ flagship Saturday night event and most consistently busy party of the past decade returns to clubland this summer for a brand new residency. TOGETHER will be re-launching on Saturday 28th June at SCALA, Kings Cross with the same serious take on new music and the same serious take on being silly!! We’re bringing with us all the best bits from Turnmills and embracing our new venue to the fullest to create a new phat chunk of dancefloor happiness.

The last ever Together party at Turnmills (22 March) was fittingly MASSIVE and a highly emotional affair. Teaming up with Heavenly Social for one final rave, we were honoured to have BOTH The Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim on deck duty to give the club the proper send off it deserved. Since then, Together has hot-footed it to Austria where we got on the Piste at Snowbombing and hosted one of the week’s best parties with residents Justin Robertson, Anil Chawla and Streetlife DJs getting the 80s-wearing-crowd into a spin. We’ve since been invited by LOVEBOX to co-host a Together party with ‘em out in Ibiza this summer (4th July @ Eden) as part of their new residency with Pete Tong’s Wonderland event… and best of all, the gang at GET LOADED IN THE PARK have given us our VERY OWN TENT (yes really!) at their amazing festival on Clapham Common (Sunday 24th August) featuring Gossip, Soulwax, The Presets, Mylo, Boys Noize, Streetlife DJs and Uniondjs (all of whom have played Together @ Turnmills over the past 2 years).

Very exciting times ahead indeed. A little closer to home we’ve been secretly plotting our move since the turn of the year and we’ve been exploring all sorts of venues; grand and luxurious, small and quirky, smelly and sexy. But in the SCALA, we feel we’ve found the perfect new home. Like Turnmills, it’s a multi-roomed, labyrinth-style venue (getting lost is fun right?), with its own unique character and a killer new soundsystem. It’s just up the road from our famous former venue and its bang slap in the middle of Kings Cross / St Pancras International… which is handy seeing as we’ve got four Frenchmen hopping on the Eurostar for our unmissable debut event (more of that in a mo!)

Sankeys wind up the weekly Sessions with Trentmøller

This May, Sankeys will be bringing down the curtain on its weekly Tribal Sessions and it is certainly one that will be remembered. Headlining the final call is none other than Danish superstar Trentemøller. Having played at a number of high profile festivals in the last year including Glastonbury, this will be one of very few club dates that appear on his diary. Trentemøller first hit the headlines back in 2005 when he was voted Best Newcomer in many DJ polls. He followed this up in 2006 by bagging himself the Essential Mix for Radio 1 and was subsequently voted Mix Of The Year by listeners. It was also in 2006 that he released his debut album “The Last Resort”, which received acclaimed reviews all across the world, with leading DJ magazines in Germany and France making it their record of the year. 2008 has also proved a pretty successful year so far, with Trentemøller voted Best Chillout Artist and Best Electronica Artist at the recent Beatport awards.

As well as a DJ, Trentemøller is as much in demand as remixer as he is DJ. Previous remixes include the hugely popular “What Else Is There?” for Royksopp, “Go” from Moby and “Sodom” for the Pet Shop Boys, amomgst numerous others.

Kidology Records - London After Dark

Kidology Records raises the bar on its musical output this year and launches its very own compilation series: Kidology presents ‘London After Dark vol. 1’ mixed by label don, Mark Wilkinson.

‘London After Dark’ captures the sound of exactly that – London clubbing at night but in particular the sounds of the Kidology parties held at Pacha and The White House, which are rapidly gaining a vast and loyal following, month after month.

The track list brings together sounds from the Kidology dance floors such as the massive Radio 1 ‘Floor Filler’ Dab Hands ‘Supergood’, Armand Van Helden’s ‘I Want Your Soul’ (TV Rock Mix), and a ‘Higher State of Consciousness’ by Wink (TV Rock & Dirty South Mix): as well as unreleased material from Jesse Garcia ‘Off da Hook’ and Sound Dezign ‘Happiness’ with Mark Wilkinson on the remix.

Supafly Inc - Be Together

Summer may seem far off in the distance, but it’s not too early to get a taste; a funky bassline, chunky beats, uplifting hooks and a reggae tinged vocal drenched in sunshine. Is it too early to lay claim to this year’s summer anthem…?

Supafly Inc are duo Panos Liassi a.k.a Mister P, a producer hailing from London, long surrounded by hip hop, dance and funk, and Andrew Tumi a.k.a One, a singer / songwriter immersed in reggae, soul and West African beats from an early age. Together they create a synergy that has consistently rocked dancefloors across the world. Now with new single ‘Be Together’, Supafly Inc have delivered another skilfully crafted song designed to move your feet and pull you on to the dancefloor.

‘Be Together’ is an uplifting and energetic feelgood tune based around a giant hook of a chorus that will get inside your head and stay there, like the best tunes always do. With the rallying cry ‘We Can Be Together’ this tune is already uniting dancefloors and expect to hear it everywhere in Ibiza this year!
