Omid 16B - Like 3 Ears & 1 Eye LP

SexOnWax is proud to announce the long awaited third artist album from Omid16B. It’s a time for musical renewal, rebirth, and reinvention. It’s time for new timeless sounds to abound. Almost 10 years since Omid 16B’s enduring debut album “Sounds From Another Room”, and seven years since its successor “How to Live 100 Years”, an authentic five-year long journey is realized as Omid 16B prepares to present his third artist album – “Like 3 Ears And 1 Eye” – in two parts.

For Omid, this latest incarnation embodies a new level of purity of expression, emotion, and understanding, as previously indicated when a version of the album track “Changing Change” was released (as a 4 track EP) in February 2007, and hinted at even earlier when “PSCO/ You Are Me” came out in September 2006 on SexOnWax Recordings.

“I’m not just thinking about the club dancefloor, but also about the musical experience. I love music - how it can make our emotions flow; how it can change the way we think; the way we love; the way we express ourselves.” - Omid16B

New Year’s Eve at The End & AKA - Layo & Bushwacka!, Sancho Panza, Jimpster, Will Saul and more

Christmas and New Year –a time of peace and harmony, right? Or a time to throw some of The End’s favourite DJs into the booth to battle against each other and see who wins? This year we’ve opted for the latter, as we’ve taken some of The End’s much-loved residents and pitted them against each other in a battle of musical strength and wits. In the main room Layo & Bushwacka! will be wrestling the Sancho Panza boys, the Lovebox Allstars will be sword fighting with the Rant DJs in the lounge, and in AKA Freerange’s Jimpster will be having a dance off against Simple’s Will Saul. Peace and harmony indeed….let battle commence!

 Gallery Music-01

First up – in the main room we have two musical duos who have both played an instrumental part in shaping the End & AKA’s history. Layo & Bushwacka! are more at home in The End’s blue DJ booth than any other artists, and whilst they spin around the world, they always return to The End every month for their Olmeto residency, where you can expect to be taken on a journey through house, tech-funk, techno and more. 2007 saw more releases from the duo, including ‘Kick Your Ass’ and ‘Tabloid’, some solo productions from Bushwacka! including the powerful ‘Remember’, plus a double mix album for Global Underground. Sancho Panza’s residency in AKA goes back many years – renowned for their party-starting abilities wherever they play, from a tiny warehouse to the Notting Hill Carnival - they never fail to get the dancefloor rocking.
