Expectations on top of debut from new electro-pop stars
The premiere album WONDERLAND is one of the electro pop scene’s all-time strongest debuts with one strong potential single track after another – the production of each track flirting with different electronic music styles, creating a rare variation and depth. Style-wise, WONDERLAND is best compared to Goldfrapp, but is more uptempo and has stronger connections to the dance scene. As a bonus on this Scandinavian and online edition, David Amo & Julio Navas Remix of the celebrated 1st single ADORE is included – a remix also to be released on 12” vinyl by Flavoured Records, Germany

Mississippi’s finest production duo Parker & Hanson return to Maelstrom with the massive It’s Not Too Late.
Combining Parker & Hanson’s tough & slick production values with a unique sound that takes in house, trance and electro in one sitting (check the drum programming studio spotters!), It’s Not Too Late is leading the way for the sound of 2007.
Two mixes are here, the Vocal Mix using a haunting female vocal in the break over spine tingling piano break and the Dub Mix that uses the same layout but filters out the vocals for an alternative non-vox ride. Cap both mixes with the same soaring riff and you’ve got a sure fire tune that’s going to be in the box for the rest of the year.
Already seeing tastemaker spins from Markus Schulz and Above & Beyond, amongst others, listen for Parker & Hanson’s latest opus on a dance floor or radio near you soon.

Chances are if you’ve set foot in a club or festival catering for the harder end of dance music over the last decade you will have been witness to the devastation this man’s tunes bring. This is just the tip of the iceberg; BK’s second artist album is going to finally provide a definitive anthology for the man who can only be described as the king of the hard beats!

New Jersey native Morgan Geist was initially inspired by England’s take on the sound of Detroit, but eventually tracked techno back to its Motor City innovators. When he began listening to music, however, it was the sound of early-’80s synth heroes like Devo, Severed Heads and New Order alongside early hip-hop, jazz and 60s Hindi film soundtracks. Geist released his first 12″ (via Dan Curtin’s innovative Metamorphic label) while studying at Oberlin College in 1994. He formed Environ soon after, releasing powerful statements of purpose which showed his affinity for the more emotive strains of disco, techno, soul and all flavors in between. His debut album was released in 1997 and licensed to EastWest/Warner. Geist continues to run Environ today. A highly-regarded remixer and producer both solo and as half of Metro Area, Geist has lent his touch to a wide range of artists including Hugh Masekela, Telex, Erlend Oye and The Rapture.
