In the heavily male dominated DJ market, it?s rare to find a female DJ who can create a huge impact on the scene in a short amount of time. Miss Nine (AKA Kristin Schrot) has not only been able to outshine and make her presence known in such a world, but she has done so all within three years of picking up a record. With her eclectic taste in music, ranging from energetic grooves with plenty of vocals to a deeper, progressive sound, Miss Nine turns heads and moves feet any where she performs. With Yoshitoshi Ibiza, Miss Nine becomes the first female to mix a compilation for Washington-based Yoshitoshi Recordings, the world-renowned leader in all genres of dance music.

Ti?sto - Feat Maxi Jazz - Dance4Life

 Dj-Tiesto Dj-Tiesto-3
If a DJ?s popularity was judged on Myspace page views alone it would be clear that Ti?sto is still the people?s champion. With www.myspace.com/tiesto receiving over one million page views (and counting!) since it was set up and more than twice the hits of his nearest rivals, it?s pretty clear to see who?s drawing the most interest on this internet sensation.

That point aside, take one look at the Myspace page and you will see in the two weeks since Ti?sto?s new single ?Dance4life? featuring the excellent Maxi Jazz was posted, it has received somewhere in the region of 100,000 plays alone. If this is an indication of how popular this single is across the globe, you know we?ve got a very big tune on our hands.

Missy Elliot - Respect Me

Respect Me - a collection of some of Missy Elliot’s greatest work is set for release on September 4th through Atlantic Records/GoldMind.

There is no doubt that Missy Elliott has become one of Hip Hop’s cultural magnets. Courageously willing to stake her reputation on every
beat, every scorching R&B groove, on every one of her albums, she ups the ante time and time again.

From her very first video in 1997 for ‘The Rain’ on SUPA DUPA FLY showcasing a fearless Missy greeting the world in a hefty bag to the
inclusion of a then unknown rapper called Eminem on her 1999 DA REAL WORLD set, Missy continues to set the template.

Aston Harvey and Matt Cantor aka Freestylers, follow up their critically acclaimed album ?Raw As F**k?, with the head-rush rhythms of
?Painkiller?, the first track to be taken from their fourth studio album ?Adventures In Freestyle?.

?Painkiller? is five and a half minutes of pure, uncut Freestylers filthiness aimed squarely at the dancefloor, it sees the duo team up with Australian drum n bass
hero?s Pendulum, who shot to notoriety last year with the release of their debut album ?Hold Your Colour?. As we have previously witnessed from ?Fasten Your Seat
Belts? the Freestylers / Pendulum combination is an awesome one and this next single comes complete with the vocal talent of SirReal for an added energy boost.

Special Chakras parties in Ibiza and Italy

Chakras - the unique and pioneering venue in S?o Paulo, Brazil heads to Europe in September for some seriously special parties in Ibiza and Italy. The parties follow on from last Summer’s run-away success stories at Sa Trinxa and Pacha. And they will also celebrate Chakras second musical outing - the brilliant double album ‘From Brazil to Berlin’ - the CD will hit your desks in late September!!! It is a fascinating fusion of bosa, lounge and ambient sounds (from Djourney) to cutting edge German tech and minimal from Chris Wood and Cocoon resident Toni Rios.

The Blue Marlin in Ibiza’s Southern tip Cala Jondal is a place of protected natural beauty. The bar itself is surrounded by pine trees, scattered with huge beds and has the clear view of the sea - uninterrupted by any buildings. Chakras head honcho Djourney aka Miguel Reis will be on hand to play his seamless blend of mellow, down-tempo house while Sin Plomo and Chris Wood will take the party long into the evening with their slightly tougher sound.

Soul Avengerz featuring Javine?s - Don?t Let The Morning Come

200608291829
Soul Avengerz featuring Javine?s ?Don?t Let The Morning Come? has ?smash? written all over it. Dance records this huge come around but once a year, but rarely are they as good as this, an out and out house anthem from one of Britain?s leading production duo?s with a young vocalist who sounds like she cut her teeth at Studio 54.
London?s house boys done good, Paul Gardner and Wayne O?Connell, have been an integral part of London house culture for a decade, synonymous with both underground parties and the kind of special, one-off events that leave you wondering if club culture could get any better.

After producing the instrumental version of ?Don?t Let The Morning Come?, Soul Avengerz hunted around for someone to give the track a vocal big enough to match the music. Javine stepped up and delivered an example of why she?s one of the hottest vocal talents in Britain. Utilising the riff from 1982?s classic electro cut, ?The Smurf? by Tyron Brunson, the track is being hammered on the underground, in Ibiza, on Radio 1, across the UK?s ILR network, and it?s still 2 months from release.

The remix package includes the Soul Avengerz? ?Klub Vocal?, ?Klub Dub?, and a ?Dirty Dub? in honour of their legendary club night, Dirty, the most popular night at London?s Pacha. German house hero, Raul Rincon, maintains his pedigree with dub and vocal mixes, while Kurd Maverick presses the electronic button, and Claude Von Stroke & Justin Martin kidnap the original and pack if off to a warehouse party in San Francisco.

Chris Lake featuring Laura V - Changes

200608291827

Globally recognised as one of the most talented young producers and DJs to come out of the dance music scene in recent years, Chris Lake has made the DJ elite sit up and take notice, making him the golden boy of the current dance music scene. He is being hailed by amongst others, Pete Tong as ?the biggest talent to emerge from Scotland since Mylo?.

Changes is one of those tracks that you can’t get enough of. It’s huge piano riff stays with the listener long after the tune has ended. It’s been rocking dance floors since last summer and now get is just desserts with a full release from Apollo.

Chris?s music credentials include numerous collaborations with Rhythm Code under different guises including Ramsay and LAB music and remixes of artists such as Delacy, Stretch and Vern and Quivver that received critical acclaim from both clubbers and media alike. Earlier this year Chris Lake setup Rising Music to release his own material. The first 3 releases have already been immense underground hits, reaching the boxes of traveling DJs and residents worldwide, and being mainstays in the beatport and DJdownload charts, for much of the year to date. He has also been busy remixing some on dance music?s elite, such as Lifelike & Kris Menace (Discopolis), Onionz (Burnin), Axwell (Watch the sunrise), Sebastien Leger (Hypnotized), and the classic by Sterling Void (It?s Alright). Chris has also been busy trotting the globe DJing from South America to Eastern Europe, with a 3 week tour of Asia and Australia already confirmed for late 2006.

Tom Stephan aka Superchumbo - Dog

200608291824
Chumbomundo has proved to be a steady and quality label and is ready to launch its 4th release.
This time we bring you Superchumbo (aka Tom Stephan) himself. His highly successful releases ‘Irresistible’, ‘This Beat Is’, ‘Dirtyfilthy’, and his latest ‘Here I Come’ have all topped various charts. ‘The Revolution’ was declared Track of the Year by Pete Tong in 2001 and still counts as a classic. Furthermore he has worked his remix magic on both crossover and underground artists alike. Missy Elliot, Eric Morillo, Goldfrapp, Roger Sanchez, Kylie, Danny Tenaglia, Nitzer Ebb and Peace Division (to name but a few) have all received the Superchumbo treatment at one point in time or another.

Dog is a dirty, filthy club track and is already in big demand. The track features vocals by glass shatteringly talented Katherine Ellis. Dj Mag quotes she is ?The UK answer to Loleatta Holloway?

Remix duties are fulfilled by Kamisshake, the guy who brought us ‘High voltage’ (Lead003) earlier this year. Kami is receiving much respect from various jocks around the globe for his hard work and strong releases. For your information, Cynophobic means ?fear of dogs? and yes, Kami suffers from a little bit of ‘dog-o-phobia’….. And Deep Dish told us they love the Kamisshake Dub!
