After the furor of Poly?s last outing South????., when 200 uninvited men stormed her palace looking for illegalities, Poly is heading back to the capital and she?s out to make up for lost time! Let?s face it, she?d hardly of minded if they?d come to party, but that wasn?t the case. Nevertheless she holds no grudges and her next installment will be a time for her to make it up to you all for what happened in April.
June?s Polysexual South is all about the women. 200 uninvited men at the last event was enough to put anyone off, so this time round she?s throwing a parteeee for her own kind. This doesn?t mean you boys aren?t invited, but if you come, then you?ll need to know this one is for the girls!
Welcome to the Bunny Girl Boudoir! Poly?s own rendition of those infamous Playboy parties. Dominating the decks at this event are two of hard dance?s leading ladies. ANNE SAVAGE and LISA PIN-UP. Also on the agenda and looking more than fabulous is the up and coming NICKI S. Now. She?s a girl who just like Poly, knows what she wants, and by all accounts get?s what she wants. To balance things out in the main room, Poly has invited the super cute PAUL MADDOX, tidy?s young gun. The ORGAN DONORS step in to make some serious noise and with two of them, look out! With STEVE BRADY, MR RON and Polysexual South?s ?never let ya down? resident HINSLEY, the main part of this bunny girl boudoir is packed to the max!
Now then boys, here?s one for you! A room where its music is mastered by an ALL GIRL line-up! And as well as playing the best music they can muster, have all been ordered to dress up for the occasion! Expect not very much from some of them ? mentioning no names of course. From Cyberkitten we welcome its leading lady, the gorgeous HYPERVIXEN. She?ll be joined by London?s own scene queen Ms TINA MARTIN, JANIE MAC, and CLARE MCLAREN.
Bearing in mind this event falls in the middle of summer, and its theme, you can guarantee the heat will be on! This is a POLYSEXUAL not to be missed.
IMPORTANT INFO FOR THOSE WHO PRE-BOUGHT TICKETS TO THE LAST POLYSEXUAL SOUTH
Due to the issues that dogged our last event, we?d like to offer EVERYONE who pre-bought a ticket to Polysexual South the opportunity to get an advance ticket for the BUNN Y GIRL BOUDOIR for just ?10. If you forward your receipt to lisa.b@mostwanteduk.com before the 1st June 2006, she?ll be more than happy to sort this out for you.

?Spain and Madrid in particular has a huge market within electronic music. However until now we did not have a conference celebrating this. MEC steps in to offer a high quality event filled with comprehensive day and night programmes - Thus creating a platform of opportunity for people from all over the world in a hospitable and exciting city. ?
Spanish DJ Frank Trax comments “As a DJ for years I was dreaming with an event to meet the people of the real club scene in Spain, and now here it is ? MEC?
Shame on tidy HQ for not realising there was one crucial element missing from this year?s bigger than ever Creamfields line-up! She has been a vital cog in tidy?s wheel since it started turning over a decade ago, and there was no way she could be ignored. She is one of the original tidy girls; she is the illustrious ANNE SAVAGE.
Apart from anything else, the boys are as ever outweighing the girls and it just ain?t on! So, we are thrilled to announce Anne has been added to the line-up as a special guest.
Now then, as if you needed reminding, here is how THE arena that?s making the most noise is looking. You just gotta agree, you couldn?t indulge in something so big anywhere else?..
BK Live, Tidy Boys, Mark EG
Anne Savage, Andy Farley, Rob Tissera
Lisa Pin-up, Lee Haslam, Paul Glazby
Amber D, Kutski, Paul Maddox

Keep your eyes peeled across all media platforms over the forthcoming weeks as a number of competitions are announced. You could be backstage having a glass of champagne, and nibbling on some of the finest hors?dourves the tidy posse can muster, winning VIP tickets that include transport to and from the site in style.
In the meantime, chew on the fact this year?s tidy arena is going to the one of the focal points of Creamfields for more than one reason.
Positiva has a long history of providing huge summer club records, the type that burn away on the underground for several months, then as soon as the temperature soars they ignite into full blown chart hits. Spiller feat. Sophie Ellis-Bextor?s ?Groovejet?, Boris Dlugosch feat. Roisin Murphy?s ?Never Enough?, The Shapeshifters? ?Lola?s Theme?, Deep Dish?s ?Flashdance?, and many more have all followed that trajectory, each have earned their place as some of the most memorable dancefloor cuts of the last decade. For early summer 2006, Teamster?s ?Feels Like Love? looks like following the same path?
Not that it?s a new journey for the pair behind Teamsters, aka Morjac, aka Jacob Johansen and Morten Lambertsen. The Danish two-some are all too familiar with big dance records, having written and produced tracks such as Marly?s ?You Never Know?, ?Stars?, ?Morjac Theme?, and ?Play It?. Those with a liking for early 90?s funk, will also remember the duo as core members of Europe?s biggest funk band, King Kane, who enjoyed a number of hits.
Having already hit No.1 in the Buzz and Cool Cuts charts, ?Feels Like Love? has whipped up a huge level of demand; all the hallmarks are there for a major summer smash as it starts its move beyond specialist dancefloors. DJ support has come from across the spectrum, Radio 1?s Pete Tong and Judge Jules, Freemasons, Trophy Twins, Disciples Of Sound, Graeme Park, and many more.
The forthcoming ?Original mix? will feature Errol Reid on vocals, and that?s the one you?ll hear creeping out onto the airwaves over the next few weeks, under their Morjac guise, Jacob and Morten have also provided the ?Morjac Club Mix? for house floors everywhere. While two stunning remixes from King Unique are so dirty you?ll need a shower after listening to them?

Gnarls Barkley’s hit Crazy has become the first single for 12 years to spend eight weeks at the top of the UK singles chart. The US hip-hop duo have now become the 20th act to spend at least two months at number one.
Following its release as a digital download in the UK on March 13, 2006, the song debuted at the number one spot on the UK Official Download Chart on March 22, 2006 - As new chart rules now also allowed a song to chart the UK Singles Chart based on their download sales if a physical equivalent is released the following week, “Crazy” became the first number one single based on download sales alone (selling over 31,000 times that week), on April 2 with the CD single being released one day later.
In the following weeks the single entered multiple single charts throughout Europe, including the German, the Swedish, the Austrian and the Irish Singles Charts, and the Dutch Top 40, resulting in a number two position on Billboard’s Eurochart Hot 100 Singles.
The last track to stay on top for eight weeks was Wet Wet Wet’s Love Is All Around - which went on to spend 15 weeks at number one in 1994.

Two names synonymous with top quality, cutting edge electronic sounds and massive ecstatic crowds, this year Carl Cox and Space
celebrate their fifth anniversary together on Tuesday nights in Ibiza.
In addition, Napoli?s finest Angels of Love host the original terrace for each event, adding some Italo glamour to the sun-soaked dancefloor. (www.angelsoflove.it)
Renowned for the challenging and eclectic set of guest DJs, Carl Cox @ Space 2006 will be no exception, with an even broader musical spectrum including Adam Freeland?s rock-infused breakbeat and the Asian underground sounds of Talvin Singh. Carl will be airing more summery styles on the terrace by day before taking to the main room after dark for some deep electronic House and Techno. On the new terrace, fresh sounds will play into the night, incorporating house, electro, techno, breaks, drum and bass and more.
Last year Carl introduced ?Late Night Sessions? where drum and bass veterans Roni Size and LTJ Bukem cooked up a storm. Despite Ibiza being known for its house-centric scene, Carl?s potentially risky choice of cutting edge drum and bass proved massively popular, hence the return of both names for 2006, alongside Brazilian boy wonder DJ Marky. On being asked what he was looking forward to, Marky said, ?It will be a good chance to catch up with some old friends and make some new ones as well.? Whether an old friend or a potential new one, with a line up like Carl?s, no one will be left out.
In 2005 Space opened its newly restyled terrace to a great response. Due to the extended opening hours of the roofed terrace (no sound restrictions) Carl Cox @ Space was transformed, enabling a greater diversity of DJs and sounds to be spread across the two.
Following Carl?s first season at Space in 2002, each summer has seen the parties recognised as some of the most interesting and exciting the island has to offer, not least for the adventurous, forward-thinking line-up on offer. Due to Carl?s highly involved and passionate role as promoter, programmer and host, each year has seen a growth and progression from the last - continued improvements to production, sound, lighting and the variety of guests has seen the nights go from strength to strength. The future is nigh ? the future is 9.

HOT CHIP (Live) / COLDCUT / NIGHTMARES ON WAX / AMON TOBIN (Live) / GILLES PETERSON / MONEY MARK (Live)?

There?s a reason why TDK Cross Central has such an enviable reputation and why they consistently triumph with bands on the brink of breaking. Each time a new set of artists are revealed it goes another step further to clarify just why TDK Cross Central is leaps and bounds ahead of the rest. With a ridiculously acute eye on the bands and DJS that are making waves right now this event offers more than big names and big tents, it offers quality from tomorrow?s talent and yesterday?s heroes. And it?s why true musical purveyors are queuing up to play this groundbreaking event.
Current media darlings and rising stars HOT CHIP have confirmed that they will be joining TDK Saturday for what will undoubtedly be a memorable and energetic show of skippity-hoppity beats and minimalist electro. Their second album ?The Warning? is currently receiving huge critical acclaim across the board and with its fusion of futuristic-funk, eccentric experimental-eletro-soul, it is being hailed as the finest album of electronic rock since Mylo?s ?Destroy Rock & Roll?.
Next up who couldn?t be excited at the chance to witness the legend that is NIGHTMARES ON WAX. Setting the standard since ?91 their latest offering ?In a Space Outta Sound? has been no less inspiring that its predecessors. Weaving old samples with trade mark infectious rhythms and blues infused time signatures, it is easy to see why they have been Warp?s most successful output.
Another coup for the ever expanding event sees BBC Radio 1?s GILLES PETERSON bring his award winning “Worldwide” show to the event. As a further stamp of quality Gilles will be programming and hosting his own room in Canvas 1 and bringing his trademark acid jazz sounds with him. From jazz to soul to broken beat and with guests including West London collective Bugz In The Attic this is shaping up to be an exceptional musical addition.
With other luminaries such as the genius musical chameleons Coldcut, Amon Tobin, playing London for the first time in over 12 months and Money Mark aka the fourth Beastie Boy also now confirmed, TDK Cross Central is ready to deliver one of its most brilliant shows to date; and there is still more to come. Expect more announcements within in the week and while you wait, feast your eyes on the already sizzling selection of acts that will be descending upon King?s Cross this August.

With the World Cup just around the corner it seems everyman and their dog has jumped on the World Cup anthem bandwagon trying to grab their 15 minutes of fame. It?s fair to say the ?official? anthem from those god fearing lads Embrace will sink without a trace, so with this leaves the gate open for a cool, underground anthem to rise up for the fans to chant on the terraces.
Now in the their fourteenth year Dreadzone have been around long enough to know the value of a good tune, especially in the football world with their highly acclaimed ?Little Britain ? single being used for numerous sports programmes, most notably for three years as the theme from the Nationwide Football league. Now with the World Cup looming and the prospect of predictable singalongs crowding the airwaves Dreadzone drop a very special tune. Based on a cut from their fifth album ?Once Upon A Time? released in 2005 called ?Iron Shirt ? which samples the classic Max Romeo track ?I Chase The Devil? they have re -worked it as ?Lion shirt ? with considerable effect delivering a skanking, jump up dance tune with hooks galore, tough beats and uplifting melodies, this provides a timely alternative anthem for a multi cultural England!
Already causing a storm on the terraces at half time with support from Match day DJs from Anfield to Exeter ?Lion Shirt? has been a topic of conversation on club?s notice boards, this has been helped with Match Day Media using the single on a feature about England Supporters, ?Lion Shirt? has also been capturing the minds of the media inspiring DJ Magazine to run a full page feature on the frenzy surrounding the track as well as making it their ?Sureplayer? (single of the issue) and to top it all off New Orders ?Peter Hook? sent us an email saying ?Loving it? after being sent a link to hear it!
So support a real anthem and help us keep Embrace and The Crazy Frog off the top spot!
Zap Zap, The Martian has finally landed! Emerging from the Why Lout? crew of Brixton and currently cited by the NME magazine as one of the leading lights of the Grindie scene, Marvin is set to release his first solo EP ‘Hoods & Badges’ on 5th June via Universal Digital.
The EP opens with ‘I Don’t Go (Alone)’ and is a brilliant demonstration, not only of Marvin’s skills but of the very ethos of the scene. UK
Hiphop / Grime MCs are connecting with emerging indie bands, playing at the same gigs, sampling and re-making their tracks. For the old gits around this is nothing new - The Clash working with Lee Scratch Perry, Mickey Dread toasting on “Bankrobber” … For everyone else it’s the freshest breath of air in current alternative music.
‘I Don’t Go (Alone)’ samples ‘Walk With Me’ by the brilliant new band Good Books who have just signed to Columbia. The band has actually played it live with Marvin at a recent gig. Also on the EP is ‘Around The Way’, a slice of motorbike grime that takes you on a trip around Marvin’s home town of Brixton. The EP finishes with ‘Stay Off The Kane’. Already a cult classic and as the NME states - the first ever Grindie Track, SOTK samples ‘Emily Kane’ the punk tale of lost love by Art Brut and twists it into something altogether different and brilliant that was receiving John Kennedy plays on XFM almost a year ago.
And there are more collaborations in the pipeline that will follow on from the Hoods & Badges EP, work is already underway with Akira The Don & !Forward: Russia and the Maccabees to name a few.
There’s also an impending date on XFM’s John Kennedy show and a legion of new My Space recruits through his fast developing fan base. Marvin The Martian - one to watch.
